NAIROBI – In a significant nod to the growing caliber of Kenyan football officiating, a team of referees from the country has been entrusted with overseeing two high-profile Group B matches at the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected a full Kenyan quartet for the assignments. The Kenyan officials’ first assignment will be the clash between Ghana and Gabon on Saturday, January 11, 2026, at the Grand Stade de Marrakech. They will return to the same venue three days later, on Tuesday, January 14, to officiate the match between Cape Verde and Gabon.
